Permanent Hair Removal

Laser energy is used remove unwanted facial and body hair. Lasers can treat larger areas of hair making it possible and easier to combat areas such as the back. Energy from the laser passes through the skin and is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle thus disabling the hair follicle from being active.

What to expect.

* There may be mild redness. This usually resolves in about 1 hour.
* Mild discomfort from the laser. If necessary a topical anesthetic may be used.
* Protect treated area from sun.

 

How many treatments will I need?

* Because hair grows in cycles, multiple sessions are required, usually between 5 and 8.

Because the laser uses pigment as a conductor, individuals with darker hair respond best to treatment.
